Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their hair needs and recommend suitable styles and treatments
- Cut, trim and style hair for women, men and children
- Apply colour, tints, highlights, toners and bleach using current techniques
- Perform blow-dries, straightening, curling and styling for everyday and special occasions
- Carry out hair and scalp treatments
- Advise clients on hair care and recommend suitable products
- Maintain client records, including colour formulas and service history
- Manage bookings and greet clientsProcess payments and handle retail product sales
- Clean and sterilise tools, equipment and workstations in line with hygiene standards
- Keep up to date with current hair trends and techniques
- Comply with workplace health and safety requirements
Qualifications
- Certificate III in Hairdressing, or an equivalent qualification
- Minimum 1 year of relevant salon experience
- Proficiency in cutting, colouring and styling techniques
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Good knowledge of hair care products and hygiene practices
- Reliable, well presented and attentive to detail
