Advance Tyre & Auto Pty Ltd is seeking a fully qualified and experienced Light Vehicle Motor Mechanic to join our professional automotive workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship, accurate diagnostics and outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct servicing, maintenance and repairs on a wide range of light vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic vehicle faults using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Repair and replace engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, exhaust and cooling systems.
- Perform tyre fitting, wheel balancing, wheel alignments and related tyre services where required.
- Complete vehicle inspections and identify required repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Carry out road tests to verify repairs and ensure vehicle safety and performance.
- Maintain accurate job cards, service records and parts requirements.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
- Maintain a clean, organised and compliant workshop environment.
- Communicate clearly with service advisors, colleagues and customers regarding vehicle repairs.
Qualifications and Experience
- Trade qualification as a Light Vehicle Motor Mechanic, Australian qualification.
- Demonstrated experience working as a fully qualified motor mechanic.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities across mechanical and electrical vehicle systems.
- Experience with modern diagnostic equipment and workshop tools.
- Current Australian driver licence.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a busy workshop team.
- Strong attention to detail, time management and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
