Job Description
Anderson Luong Pty Ltd Taste Baguette requires a PASTRYCOOK to join our dedicated team. Experience is Essential. Duties: Ensuring quality of raw ingredients before commencing Ensure all ingredients stored appropriately before and after use Make, knead and shape dough, pastries, macaroons, cookies and cakes Bake pastries and cakes for breakfast service and ice/decorate as required Bake cakes and gateaux for breakfast and lunch time service Correctly use all relevant kitchen equipment e.g. knives, blenders, dough hooks Ensure ovens are correctly heated to relevant temperature and monitor products during baking Prepare pastry cases and fillings for pies and quiches Prepare additional quantities of dough and fillings at end of shift to store for use next morning Ensure all baking tins and trays are cleaned and stored appropriately Ensure kitchen is kept clean and tidy at all times and adhere to OH&S regulations Expectations: AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV or
At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications 1-2 years of relevant work experience required Ability to prepare high quality pastry in a timely, efficient, sanitary and consistent manner Strong work ethic and a positive team attitude required. About Company Taste Baguette East Village provides freshly baked baguettes, sourdough breads, pastries and cakes. Handcrafted baguettes are baked fresh for lunch and filled with freshly grilled meats and fresh salads.
