The Role

We have a great opportunity for a Warehouse Team Leader specialising in Warehousing and Inventory Control to join our team based at Arndell Park. You will be responsible for leading the warehouse storage and inventory control activities within our Velocity Centre, ensuring stock is accurately recorded, safely stored and readily available to support operational requirements.

This varied role includes:

  • Warehouse storage and stock movements: Manage post-receipt putaway, bin allocation, stock consolidation and internal movements after goods have been accepted by the Receiving team. Maintain warehouse layout, storage capacity, racking, location identification and stock security; replenish forward pick locations from bulk storage.
  • Inventory accuracy and controls: Coordinate cycle counts and stocktakes; reconcile physical stock to WMS/ERP records, investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions. Maintain transaction and location accuracy, with traceable movements and timely resolution of inventory exceptions. Control quarantined, damaged, aged or obsolete stock and recommend adjustments or write-offs for approval by authorised managers.
  • Availability, safety stock and systems: Monitor stock availability, storage constraints and internal replenishment issues; elevate risks and coordinate resolutions with other teams. Provide accurate stock and capacity information to Purchasing and Product Management to support the setting and review of safety stock levels; implement only approved stock control decisions. Partner with IT to resolve WMS/ERP issues and validate approved system changes; maintain required records and audit evidence.
  • Team leadership, safety and improvement: Lead and develop the inventory control and storage team, including daily priorities, training, standard work and performance follow-up. Maintain WHS, safe handling, housekeeping and 6S practices; apply Shingo/Shingijutsu improvement principles to eliminate waste and reduce double handling.

  • Strong problem-solving, people leadership and safety focus.
  • Sound level of computer literacy including Microsoft Office
