About The Role
To assist the Gluing operator to achieve high quality results in the conversion of printed and cut finished cartons. The role will support the day-to-day delivery of production on the line in either feeding, packing or palletizing.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Operator with the setup of the machine to the standard required in preparation for the conversion or embellishment (make ready).
- Assess product for meeting quality standards, undertake quality checks.
- Assist the Operator with the gluing machine to ensure quality and productivity requirements are met.
- Conduct routine maintenance with the operator in accordance with the Daily Equipment Care checklist.
- Review workload with the operator to ensure all preparation work is managed in a timely manner to ensure continuous running of the machine.
- Responsible for housekeeping within department in accordance with GMP Policy and Audits.
- Assist in cross training other staff where applicable.
- Coordinate and liaise with operator to ensure jobs are prepped.
Qualification
- 1+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or warehousing environment.
- Ability to read technical drawings (Knife/Glue Line).
- Understand basic machine function.
- Understand ‘pre make ready’ process.
- Knowledge of standards and process.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
