Smart Cookies Early Learning Centre is a family-owned and operated childcare service with over 10 years of experience in the early childhood sector. We are passionate about delivering high-quality education and care for children aged 9 months to 6 years, guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).

About The Role
- This unique position combines food preparation with hands-on education:
- Prepare and serve lunch and afternoon tea following a 4-week rotating menu
- Cater to all dietary requirements, including allergies and cultural needs
- Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards
- Order and manage food supplies within budget
- Work in the rooms as an early childhood educator
- Supervise, engage and support children’s learning and development
- Cover educator breaks when needed
- Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
About You
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or working towards (essential)
- Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or relevant qualifications in nutrition/hospitality
- First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong time management and ability to balance dual responsibilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Previous experience as a childcare cook and/or early childhood educator (highly regarded)
Position Details
- Permanent part-time: Monday to Friday, must work 5 days (minimum 5 hours per day)
- Option to extend to full-time hours for the right candidate
