We’re looking for a Channel Partner Manager – Australia to help us grow Sleek’s presence in the Australian market through strong, high-performing partnerships. This role is focused on finding, building and growing channel partnerships that can consistently bring new customers to Sleek. You’ll own the partner journey from identifying the right opportunities and pitching the value proposition through to negotiating agreements and working with our Sales and Marketing teams to make the partnerships successful.

Mission

Grow Sleek’s customer base in Australia by building and activating a strong network of channel partners across the fintech, SaaS, eCommerce and broader SME ecosystem. You’ll be a hands‑on hunter who is comfortable opening doors, building relationships from scratch, negotiating commercially and turning partnerships into a consistent acquisition channel.

Key Outcomes

  • Partner Hunting & Acquisition: Identify and approach high-potential channel partners across Australia. Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective partners. Develop relationships across fintech, SaaS, eCommerce, accounting, SME and technology ecosystems.
  • Partnership Growth: Own the relationship with partners from initial outreach through onboarding and ongoing growth. Work closely with partners to identify opportunities to increase customer referrals and conversions. Build partnerships that can scale over time rather than one-off referral arrangements.
  • Commercial Negotiation: Lead commercial conversations and negotiate partnership terms that work for both Sleek and the partners. Clearly communicate Sleek’s value proposition and handle objections confidently.
  • Go-to-Market & Activation: Work closely with Sales and Marketing to activate new partners quickly. Make sure partners understand Sleek’s offering, target customers and how to generate quality leads. Monitor performance, customer acquisition and ROI across the channel.

Role Requirements

  • 3+ years of hunter-profile experience in SMB business development, corporate sales, or outbound partnerships within a fast-paced Fintech, SaaS, or tech startup environment.
  • Proven track record of quota carrying or consistently hitting aggressive targets for net-new partner acquisition and revenue generation.
  • Deep acquisition-based experience unlocking SMB or mid-market customer segments through channels, alliances, and indirect distribution models.
  • An active, established rolodex of contacts across Australia’s SME hubs, accelerators, local Fintech circles, and eCommerce networks to leverage on Day 1.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to pitch complex value propositions, handle objections, and close deals autonomously.
  • A pre-existing network extending across the wider ANZ region is highly preferred.

Location: Sydney-based (hybrid — 3–4 days in our Sydney office).

Behavioural fit is also important at Sleek, and we will be looking for candidates who have a proven track record of embodying the following attributes in their recent roles:

  • Ownership: This shows reliability and helps build trust within the team. We move fast and need to know that everyone will see things through to completion and proactively help to get things back on track when challenges arise. Accountability is really important to us.
  • Humility: There is so much we don’t know. Humility allows for open-mindedness to feedback and a willingness to learn from others. It paves the way for collaboration and creates a positive work environment.
  • Structured Thinking: Our business is complex with many layers (many services, many countries, many cultures). Regardless of whether you’re more analytical or creative in nature, being able to show sound judgement is important to us.
  • Data-driven: We are a data-rich business with 15,000+ small business customers. Each decision we make can impact many more people than we realise, so it’s critical that we use sound data to support our strategies and review the success of our initiatives.
  • Can have tough conversations in a positive way: It’s not a matter of if, but when difficult interpersonal situations arise. People who proactively have tough conversations with kindness build empathy, trust and great working relationships.

About the Interview Process

The successful candidate will participate in the below interview stages. It might seem like a lot - but fear not - we come prepared! We anticipate the process to last no more than 3 weeks from start to finish depending on your availability.

  • Screening Call: A ~30-minute screening call with a member of our Talent Acquisition team to discuss your background, evaluate mutual fit for the role, address expectations, and answer your questions.
  • Case study/ Technical Round: A ~60 minute Interview with our Australia Country Head.
  • Final Round: A ~60 minute Interview with our Chief Revenue Officer.
  • Reference verification: Prior to final offer confirmation, we will conduct one professional reference check with your recent direct manager or supervisor.

Requirement for background screening

Please be aware that Sleek is a regulated entity and as such is required to perform different levels of background checks on staff depending on their role. This may include using external vendors to verify the below:

  • Your education
  • Any criminal history
  • Any political exposure
