A leading Melbourne university is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer for a contract from December 2026 to July 2027. The role is hybrid, with 3 days in the office.
The role
- Design, develop, test and support ABAP solutions across SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments
- Build reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms and workflows
- Develop SOAP and REST services, OData services via SAP Gateway, and middleware integrations
- Develop and extend SAPUI5 and Fiori applications
- Run code reviews and S/4HANA compatibility checks using ATC
- Resolve production issues and maintain technical documentation
About you
- 5+ years as an SAP ABAP Developer
- Strong OO ABAP, ALV, BAdIs and Enhancement Framework, SmartForms, Adobe Forms or SAPscript
- Integration experience with RFC/BAPI, IDocs, XML/JSON, and middleware such as MuleSoft, SAP CPI or Dell Boomi
- SAPUI5, Fiori and SAP Gateway/OData development experience
- Clear communicator, comfortable working with business stakeholders
- Higher education experience is a plus
