The Yard Hand is responsible for ensuring the rental fleet remains clean, organised, and presented to the highest standard within the company’s premises. The role supports fleet management and maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean rental machines upon return from hire and inspect for damages.
- Document equipment return using company systems, including fuel usage.
- Refuel equipment and perform weekly fuel dip readings.
- Maintain a tidy yard, organize equipment, and ensure electric equipment is charged.
- Assist workshop personnel with maintenance tasks.
- Operate forklift for moving heavy items.
- Ensure safety harnesses are clean and stored correctly.
- Maintain uncluttered workshop floor and store electrical leads neatly.
- Assist with touch-up painting, collecting spare parts, and stock takes.
- Adhere to company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Support other departments as required.
- Completion of any other reasonably assigned duties.
