Key responsibilities
- Review financial statements and tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs prepared by our processing team.
- Sign off on work quality and technical accuracy before it goes to the client.
- Meet clients face to face and online to present results, discuss their position and plan ahead.
- Provide proactive tax planning and business advice, including structuring, cash flow, growth and succession.
- Handle complex technical matters such as Division 7A, CGT, trust distributions and restructures.
- Act as the main point of contact for your client base and build long-term relationships.
- Coach and give feedback to other staff through the review process.
- Identify opportunities to add value for clients beyond compliance.
About you
- CA or CPA qualified (or close to completion).
- 5+ years' experience in an Australian public practice tax and business services environment.
- Strong technical knowledge across the full range of entity types.
- Confident reviewing others' work and giving clear, constructive feedback.
- Excellent communication skills, and you enjoy client contact and explaining complex matters simply.
- Commercially minded, with a genuine interest in helping clients succeed.
- Experience with Xero, MYOB, Class, APS/Handisoft is highly regarded.
