Our SKUTOPIA Distribution Centre located in Altona, Melbourne, has just opened and will deliver a premium service to our e-commerce merchants and end consumers, initially fulfilling up to 10,000 orders per day before ramping up in the future.
We are looking for a Permanent Forklift Operator to contribute to a high performing fulfilment team.
Key Responsibilities
- Move heavy items with forklift (Counter balance experience preferred)
- Conducting pre-start checks and basic maintenance
- Receive and putaway inventory
- Adhere to strict safety, quality and fulfilment standards
- Be on your feet for the majority of the day including lifting and bending to reach products on racking, climbing stairs, walking and standing.
- Collaborate with fellow team members and supervisors to optimise workflows and ensure all warehouse tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain a clean working environment - taking out the rubbish, cardboard etc.
What skills & experience are beneficial
- Current valid forklift licence
- Experience using a counterbalance or high reach forklift
- Ability to follow and improve the sites traffic management plan as we scale
- Basic computer experience
- Reliable and punctual
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and organised work environment
