The Opportunity
St Joseph’s School Hectorville is seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Temporary Relief Teachers to join our vibrant learning community. As a Relief Teacher, you will play an important role in providing continuity of learning while fostering positive, engaging and inclusive classroom environments. We are looking for educators who can quickly establish strong relationships with students, demonstrate effective classroom management, and contribute positively to our Catholic school community.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver engaging learning experiences aligned with the Australian Curriculum and classroom programs.
- Establish positive relationships with students and create a safe, productive and welcoming learning environment.
- Apply effective classroom and behaviour management strategies that support student engagement and wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with school leaders, teachers and support staff to ensure continuity of learning and student success.
- Uphold professional standards and contribute positively to the Catholic ethos, culture and values of the school.
About You
You are a dedicated educator who is passionate about supporting student learning and wellbeing. You are flexible, professional and able to adapt quickly to different classroom settings.
You will demonstrate:
- The ability to quickly build positive connections with students and establish rapport.
- Strong classroom management skills and confidence in maintaining a productive learning environment.
- A commitment to continuous professional learning and reflective practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A willingness to actively support and honour the Catholic ethos and values of St Joseph’s School Hectorville.
- Current South Australian Teacher Registration and relevant clearances required to work in Catholic Education South Australia.
