- Job Summary
As a Development Engineer Electronics, you'll be responsible for the research and development of electronic circuits, products and controls solutions for global Signify Dynalite Connected Lighting systems and propositions.
What you'll do
- Research into new technologies, electronics components, and circuits.
- Development of electrical hardware for lighting controls from concept to completion.
- Design verification and validation, to ensure required functionality, compliance, quality, cost & manufacturability.
- Liaise with other local and global R&D colleagues and teams, material suppliers and manufacturers globally.
- BSc/MSc degree in Electronics or Mechatronic Engineering, with 2 + years of commercial experience in Analogue & Digital electronics design
- Strong proficiency in Altium E-CAD (PCB Design) & MS Office suite. Solid Works M-CAD, Adobe suite and programming languages such as C, C++ and Python would be an advantage.
- Design experience with digital wired and wireless communication PHY layers implementation, microcontroller circuits and peripherals, analogue and digital circuits and power supplies.
- Understanding of IEC/EN and UL standards would be an advantage.
- Ability to work unsupervised and to take ownership of tasks and projects, with a good understanding of Project Management fundamentals and ability to work effectively in a global multi-site, multi-cultural R&D and Manufacturing Team environment.
- Demonstrated hands-on practical skills with the ability to build and test prototypes
- Understanding of project management fundamentals
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
