THE OPPORTUNITY

Sigma Aerospace Workforce is seeking an experienced B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer for an ongoing opportunity supporting heavy maintenance operations in Adelaide.

This role is suited to an appropriately licensed engineer with an E190 or Q400 type rating and hands-on experience maintaining the relevant aircraft type.

With approximately two heavy maintenance projects currently undertaken each year and further requirements expected from mid-2027, this is an opportunity to join an operation with anticipated future demand.

Visa sponsorship is available for experienced candidates. Preference will be given to candidates already based in Australia and those who have commenced, or are close to completing, their CASA licence conversion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform aircraft maintenance activities within the scope of your B1 licence and applicable authorisations.
  • Apply your hands-on technical experience to the relevant E190 or Q400 aircraft type.
  • Support heavy maintenance activities in accordance with applicable maintenance procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with maintenance teams to support safe, compliant and efficient maintenance operations.
  • Maintain appropriate maintenance documentation and adhere to aviation safety standards.

ABOUT YOU

  • A CASA B1 aircraft maintenance licence, or an overseas licence with CASA conversion already commenced or close to completion.
  • An E190 or Q400 type rating.
  • Hands-on maintenance experience on your rated aircraft type.
  • A strong commitment to aviation safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
  • The ability to work effectively within a maintenance team.

Candidates already located in Australia are preferred, particularly those requiring visa sponsorship. Applicants who have commenced their CASA licence conversion are also encouraged to apply.

Please note: A type rating without hands-on experience on the relevant aircraft type will not meet the requirements for this position.

WHAT'S ON OFFER

  • Permanent, full-time employment.
  • Monday-to-Friday roster.
  • Visa sponsorship available through for experienced candidates.
  • An opportunity to support heavy maintenance operations in Adelaide.
  • Potential for increased maintenance requirements from mid-2027.
