Lead national operations. Build better solutions. Drive performance.

Are you a hands-on operational leader who is mechanically minded, commercially savvy and passionate about improving how things work?

We're looking for an experienced Head of Operations to lead our factory, fleet and processing operations across Australia.

Reporting to the General Manager, you'll lead our State Managers, drive operational performance and identify smarter, more efficient ways of working.

This is a national leadership role for someone who can understand machinery and production processes, interpret plans, turn ideas into practical solutions and bring people along on the journey.

Regular travel across Australia is a key part of the role, giving you the opportunity to work directly with teams, visit sites and make improvements where they matter most.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, coach and develop State Managers to deliver strong operational, safety, customer and financial results.
  • Oversee national factory, production, maintenance, warehousing, fleet and transport operations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve machinery, processes, layouts, productivity and equipment reliability.
  • Develop and implement practical solutions that reduce costs, minimise waste and improve efficiency.
  • Manage operational budgets, forecasts, KPIs and performance reporting.
  • Partner with Sales and Commercial teams to assess new business opportunities and implement new customers, products and services.
  • Drive consistent national standards for safety, quality, compliance and operational performance.
  • Travel regularly across Australia to engage with teams, assess performance and deliver improvements.
  • What You'll Bring
  • Significant senior operational leadership experience in manufacturing, processing, logistics, fleet, transport or a similar environment.
  • Experience leading managers and multi-site operations across different locations.
  • A mechanically minded, practical approach, with an understanding of machinery, equipment and maintenance.
  • The ability to interpret plans, solve problems and turn ideas into workable solutions.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including budgeting, cost control and improving profitability.
  • Proven people leadership skills, with the ability to develop teams and hold leaders accountable.
  • A continuous-improvement mindset and confidence using data to drive decisions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • A willingness and ability to travel regularly across Australia.
  • A qualification in engineering, manufacturing, operations, logistics, transport or business would be advantageous.

Why Join Us?

  • Lead and influence operations across Australia.
  • Turn innovative ideas into practical business improvements.
  • Develop a strong team of operational leaders.
  • Drive safety, efficiency, sustainability and commercial performance.
  • Play a key role in the future growth of the business.
