Medical Receptionist in Geelong

With exciting internal promotions and the continued growth of our group, we have opportunities for friendly and enthusiastic Medical Receptionists to join our team! We are currently seeking applicants for both a Permanent Part-Time Medical Receptionist and a Casual Medical Receptionist position at our Hamlyn Heights clinic.

Banksia Medical Centre is a fully accredited family practice with clinics located in Newcomb, Torquay, Hamlyn Heights and Belmont. We provide holistic and comprehensive family healthcare through a team of dedicated healthcare professionals, including General Practitioners and allied health practitioners.

Both positions advertised are based solely at our Hamlyn Heights location.

An exciting opportunity exists for vibrant, engaging and reliable team members to join our family medical practice in Hamlyn Heights. • Permanent Part-Time Position: Approximately 3 days per week, with shifts of around 8 hours each. Days of work are to be confirmed. Opportunities may be available to assist with additional shifts when required.
• Casual Position: Additional shifts available to cover staff annual leave, personal leave and unexpected sick leave. Flexibility and availability to assist with additional shifts will be highly regarded.

Banksia Medical Centre Hamlyn Heights is a fast-paced, growing and evolving clinic, so previous medical reception experience is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have:

• Knowledge of Best Practice software (preferred, but not essential)
• Knowledge of AutoMed (preferred, but not essential)
• Previous administrative experience (desirable)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A professional appearance and a positive, friendly manner
• The ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• A flexible and reliable approach to work
• Availability to work varied hours when required, including early mornings and evenings
• A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming patients into the practice in an efficient and courteous manner
• Delivering exceptional customer service at all times
• Maintaining staff and patient confidentiality and privacy
• Scheduling and managing patient appointments
• Answering telephone calls and responding to enquiries in a professional and friendly manner
• Processing patient billing and payments
• Performing general administrative duties, including scanning, faxing and emailing
• Assisting practitioners as required
• Following practice policies and procedures
• Taking direction and asking questions when needed
