Sheraton is seeking a Cook, Commis Chef or Demi Chef de Partie to join our community-focused work environment. These roles are at the heart of our kitchen operations, where you will prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, focusing on attention to detail. You will work in a fast-paced environment where people care about each other and feel a sense of belonging.
Cook Position Summary:
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, focusing on attention to detail.
- Follow a food preparation checklist and establish priority items.
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping and storing food before use.
- Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles.
- Maintain organisational skills to ensure your section is clean and runs efficiently throughout each service period.
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented in a way that aims to exceed guest expectations.
- Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives and equipment.
- Maintain strong food safety and property standards.
About you:
- Trade Industry Qualification or completion of Commercial Cookery Qualification.
- Relevant experience in a similar role.
