Join our hospital kitchen team as a Cook and elevate the healthcare dining experience! You will be responsible for creating high-quality, delicious meals for patients, staff, and hospital functions while championing food safety, hygiene, and culinary excellence.
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Chef/Cook to join our Catering Services team on aCasual basis
In this role, you will:
- Prepare nutritious and appetising meals for patients, staff, doctors, the café, and hospital functions.
- Uphold food quality, hygiene, and safety standards in line with regulatory requirements.
- Support daily kitchen operations including ordering, stock rotation, and food safety compliance.
- Work collaboratively in a busy team environment, reporting to the Executive Chef.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and cooking of meals (including cold larder and special diets).
- Understanding and meeting patient dietary requirements.
- Ensuring food safety compliance (HACCP) and accurate record keeping.
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across the kitchen and equipment.
- Assisting with stock management and ordering.
What You Will Bring
- Flexibly to work Between 6:30am-6:00pm
- Strong understanding of food hygiene and OH&S standards.
- Proven experience in food preparation for individuals and groups (hospital experience highly regarded).
- Flexibility to work across a rotating roster including weekdays, weekends, and public holidays.
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia
