Reporting directly to the Group CFO, you will assist with the financial management and accounting requirements of the Group's various companies, trusts, investment entities and self-managed superannuation funds.

Assistant Accountant – Sfetco Group

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our finance team at our Shepparton head office.

Reporting directly to the Group CFO, you will assist with the financial management and accounting requirements of the Group's various companies, trusts, investment entities and self-managed superannuation funds.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial accounts for various Group entities.
• Complete bank, balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations.
• Assist with BAS, IAS and other statutory reporting obligations.
• Maintain accurate financial records across companies, trusts and investment entities.
• Assist with accounting and administration for the Group's property investments and self-managed superannuation funds.
• Monitor and reconcile investment transactions, distributions and intercompany loan accounts.
• Assist with management reporting, budgeting and financial analysis.

• Provide general accounting and administrative support to the Group CFO.

About You

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.
• Ideally 1–3 years' experience in an accounting role.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent reconciliation skills.
• Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Excel.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple entities and deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a small, professional finance team.
• Full working rights in Australia.

Highly Regarded

• Experience working in a public accounting practice.
• Exposure to company, trust and investment accounting.
• Familiarity with self-managed superannuation funds.
• Working towards CA or CPA qualifications.
