With over 25 years of helping locals bring their shed and carport projects to life, ShedEx is a trusted name in steel-framed construction. We’re looking for a reliable, motivated Sales & Customer Coordinator to join our Townsville team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with customers, solving problems, preparing quotes and keeping things moving from the initial enquiry through to completion.

About the Role

This full-time position offers the opportunity to take ownership of the customer journey from initial enquiry and quoting through to handover. You’ll work closely with customers, suppliers, contractors and our internal team to understand requirements, develop accurate solutions, coordinate key information to ensure each job progresses smoothly. While sales and customer engagement are an important part of the role, this position goes beyond simply generating sales. You’ll be involved in the practical coordination of each job — from understanding the customer's needs and confirming site details, through to finalising the solution and supporting the delivery of the completed structure.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Engaging with customers to understand their needs, plans and requirements
  • Developing tailored solutions for steel-framed sheds, carports and related structures
  • Preparing detailed quotes and designs using our design software
  • Coordinating site visits to confirm measurements, access and site‑specific requirements
  • Following jobs through from initial enquiry and quotation through to completion
  • Keeping customers informed and providing guidance at each stage of the process
  • Coordinating information between customers, suppliers, contractors and internal team members
  • Identifying and resolving issues that may arise along the way
  • Reviewing job details to ensure scope, specifications and customer requirements are clearly understood
  • Supporting the team to keep jobs organised, on track and progressing efficiently

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is organised, practical and confident dealing with people — someone who enjoys taking responsibility for getting things done. You may come from a background in sales, construction administration, estimating, building supplies, customer service or a similar coordination‑based role. You’ll ideally have:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build genuine customer relationships
  • Excellent organisation with strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
  • The confidence to coordinate with customers, suppliers, contractors and other stakeholders
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • The ability to manage competing priorities whilst delivering a high level of customer service

Why Join ShedEx?

At ShedEx, we’re committed to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment where you’re backed by strong systems, solid leadership and a team that takes pride in what we do. Here’s what you can expect:

  • A stable, full‑time role with a well‑established, family‑run local business
  • A regular flow of warm customer enquiries
  • A varied role with responsibility across the full customer journey
  • Strong systems and an established team to support you
  • The autonomy to organise and manage your day while working as part of a close‑knit team

If you enjoy working with people, solving problems and seeing a job progress from an initial idea through to a finished result, this could be the role for you. Only Australian or New Zealand Citizens, Australian Permanent Residency holders, and candidates with full work rights in Australia should apply.
