Be the trusted tech adviser your clients can't do without. My client is an established managed IT services provider with a strong values-driven culture built around people, service, integrity, excellence, and innovation. They look after the technology that keeps their clients' businesses running, and they're looking for a relationship-driven Account Manager to own a client portfolio and become their go-to ICT adviser.
This isn't a "send a quote and move on" role. You'll get to know each client's business, understand where they're heading, and work with Solution Architects and engineers to build technology plans that get them there.
What you'll be doing:
- Owning the relationship with your assigned clients and building real rapport with key decision makers
- Turning client business needs into clear requirements for the technical team
- Finalising and presenting client-specific ICT strategies, including annual budgets, infrastructure refreshes, critical renewals and risk mitigation, with quarterly reviews
- Spotting opportunities where additional services (Internet, Telephony, Security and more) would genuinely benefit a client, and explaining why in plain English
- Running the proposal process end to end and leading in-person presentations
- Showing clients the value of the work happening behind the scenes through reporting and regular conversations
- Handling client concerns with management and keeping relationships strong when issues come up
- Keeping the CRM up to date with contacts, opportunities, and activity
What you'll bring:
- Experience in account management, ideally in IT services, an MSP, or the broader ICT space
- A consultative style: you listen first and solve the business problem, not just the tech one
- The ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical, business terms
- Strong written skills and a sharp eye for detail in proposals and client documents
- Confidence presenting to senior stakeholders
- Organisation and follow-through across multiple clients, renewals and deadlines
What's in it for you:
$80,000-$100,000, plus super and STIA role where relationships matter more than transactions. A team that backs you with technical expertise and sales admin support.
