Our client is a large, well established services business with a commercial division that is firmly in growth mode. They are now looking for a Commercial Finance Business Partner to sit at the centre of that growth. This is not a back office reporting role. You’ll partner directly with divisional leadership and operational teams on the decisions that move the dial: how services are priced, what they cost to deliver, where capital goes and which opportunities are worth chasing. You’ll build the commercial models and business cases that land in front of the board, and you’ll be the person leaders turn to when they need to understand the margin impact of a decision before they make it. With no direct reports and a broad remit, it’s a role for someone who wants to be the commercial voice in the room, not just the person who produces the numbers afterwards.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Build pricing and costing models that show leaders exactly where margin is made and lost
  • Prepare board ready business cases that support growth and capital allocation decisions
  • Run scenario modelling and cost deep dives alongside divisional leadership
  • Own the budget, forecast and three way model, including cashflow forecasting
  • Deliver monthly board reporting with clear insight on financial and operational KPIs
  • Spot trends and opportunities in performance and take them to stakeholders with a view
  • Lift the quality of BI dashboards and automate manual reporting to free up time for analysis

What we’re looking for:

  • Commercial finance or FP&A experience, ideally in a service based or operationally complex business
  • Strong track record building pricing, costing or business case models that influenced decisions
  • Advanced Excel modelling skills and solid experience with ERP and BI tools
  • Confidence to challenge and influence operational managers and senior stakeholders
  • Clear communicator who can turn numbers into a story in writing and in PowerPoint
  • Degree in accounting or finance, with CA or CPA completed or underway

If you’re a commercially minded finance professional who wants to work closely with the business and have a real say in how it grows, this is an outstanding opportunity.
