A large national manufacturer is looking for a Talent Acquisition Coordinator to join a dynamic team run day-to-day recruitment at its plant in Brisbane’s south-west. This is a permanent full-time role, based on site, reporting to the Head of Talent & Capability. It’s a hands-on coordination role with a clear focus on building your capability in talent acquisition. You will learn waged and labour hire recruitment inside a large organisation, with people around you who want you to grow.

What you will be doing:

  • Running recruitment for plant roles from start to finish: posting jobs, screening, booking interviews and assessment centres, pre-employment checks, offers and onboarding handover.
  • Working with labour hire providers to bring workers on site, covering availability, right to work, medicals, safety inductions and site access.
  • Spotting good casual workers who could convert to permanent roles.
  • Supporting local recruitment campaigns, referral programmes and community engagement to build the plant’s future workforce.
  • Keeping trackers and recruitment systems accurate, and pulling together updates on vacancies, time to fill, commencements and labour hire numbers.
  • Being the go-to person for supervisors and candidates who want to know where things are up to.

This role will suit you if:

  • You’re comfortable spending your day on a manufacturing site, in PPE, with early starts.
  • You like talking with supervisors and shift workers face to face, not just over email.
  • You can juggle a high number of vacancies at once and keep the detail right when priorities change.
  • You follow through, and you know when to escape.
  • You want to build a long-term career in talent acquisition.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience in recruitment coordination, agency recruitment, labour hire, HR administration or a similar coordination role.
  • Exposure to high-volume, manufacturing, warehousing or blue-collar recruitment (highly regarded).
  • Confidence with an applicant tracking system, Microsoft Office and spreadsheets.
  • An HR or business qualification is welcome but not essential.

What’s on offer:

  • A permanent role with real development in talent acquisition.
  • Experience across waged recruitment, labour hire and workforce reporting within a large national manufacturer.
  • A collaborative team environment.
