We are recruiting an AI Business Partner to lead the practical adoption, governance and scaling of AI across a national business. This newly created position will suit someone who can confidently bridge the gap between business strategy and technology, working autonomously to establish priorities, build trusted relationships and create a roadmap for responsible AI adoption. AI adoption is already occurring across the organisation, with teams actively exploring a variety of AI tools and solutions. The challenge now is to bring structure, governance and scalability to these initiatives while ensuring security, compliance and commercial considerations. This is not a software development role. Rather, it requires someone who understands AI technologies well enough to evaluate, design and guide solutions, while partnering closely with business leaders and technical specialists.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to identify, prioritise and evaluate AI use cases.
- Assess AI opportunities from technical, operational, commercial, contractual and risk perspectives.
- Support the testing, validation and rollout of AI solutions across multiple business areas.
- Develop AI governance frameworks, standards, policies and guardrails.
- Collaborate with IT, Cyber Security, Risk, Legal and operational stakeholders to ensure responsible AI adoption.
- Evaluate emerging AI tools, platforms and vendors.
- Provide guidance on AI security, privacy, data management and compliance considerations.
- Establish repeatable frameworks for scaling successful AI initiatives.
- Develop practical guidance, playbooks and best-practice documentation.
- Build awareness, capability and confidence in AI across the organisation.
- Support executive decision-making through clear recommendations and business cases.
- Foster strong stakeholder relationships and act as a trusted advisor on AI-related matters
To be successful, you will bring a unique blend of business engagement, operational delivery and practical AI expertise.
You will likely have:
- Experience leading or supporting AI, digital transformation, automation or technology-enabled business improvement initiatives.
- Strong understanding of Generative AI, AI agents, workflow automation and emerging AI platforms.
- Experience evaluating AI tools and understanding their practical application within complex organisations.
- The ability to translate business problems into practical AI solutions.
- Knowledge of AI governance, security, risk and compliance considerations.
- Experience working across both technical and non-technical stakeholder groups.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- An ability to operate independently and create clarity in ambiguous environments.
- Commercial acumen with the ability to assess value, effort, risk and return on investment.
- Experience contributing to or leading AI pilots, proof-of-concepts or enterprise AI adoption programs.
