About the Role
Reporting to an experienced Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role within a small finance team, supporting the day‑to‑day running of the finance function while gaining exposure to a wide range of accounting and commercial activities.
This is not a role where you’ll spend the next few years simply processing the same transactions on repeat. It will suit someone who enjoys variety, wants to understand how a business works and is motivated by finding better ways of doing things.
Key responsibilities include:
- Month‑end reporting and reconciliations
- Statutory and corporate reporting
- Financial analysis and investigation of variances
- Payroll for a small salaried workforce
- Supporting reporting requirements across a multi‑entity group structure
- Contributing to process improvements and helping enhance the capability of the finance function
You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with leaders across the business, develop your commercial acumen and gain exposure that is often difficult to find in more traditional accounting roles.
About You
We’re looking for a CA/CPA qualified Accountant with commercial experience who enjoys getting involved, takes ownership of their work and wants to continue developing their career.
Ideally, you'll bring:
- Experience as an Accountant or Financial Accountant
- Strong financial reporting and reconciliation experience
- Well‑developed analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Strong attention to detail coupled with a commercial mindset
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- The ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, evolving environment
You’ll also be someone who:
- Is curious by nature and enjoys understanding the "why" behind the numbers
- Looks for solutions rather than simply identifying problems
- Enjoys improving processes and finding efficiencies
- Can balance both a technical accounting and commercial lens in their work
- Thrives in a collaborative, office‑based environment
- Wants a role that will continue to evolve as they do
Most importantly, you'll be motivated by learning, growth and becoming a genuine contributor to the business. If your goal is to be doing exactly the same tasks in two or three years' time, this probably isn't the right opportunity. If you're looking for a role where you can broaden your skillset, gain exposure and grow alongside a business, we'd love to hear from you.
What's on Offer?
- Broad exposure across a complex, multi‑entity environment
- A hands‑on role with genuine ownership and accountability
- Direct access to experienced leaders and decision‑makers
