A Sydney business that delivers its work through projects is looking for a Senior Analyst to partner with its operational managers. You'll report to the Finance Manager and work across three areas that most analyst roles split up: business partnering, management accounting and working capital. If you've been doing one of these and want the whole picture, this role gives it to you.
About the Role:
- Meet project and operations managers each month to review revenue, costs, margin and cash on their projects, and help them see where the forecast is heading.
- Own the annual budget and rolling forecasts, including the models and assumptions behind them.
- Run month-end for the business: journals, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations and variance commentary.
- Look after cash: the cash flow forecast, debtors, collections and intercompany balances.
- Manage the day-to-day relationship with an offshore support team, including checking that billing goes out accurately and on time.
- Improve the reporting and fix the manual steps that slow the team down.
About You:
- To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:
- CA or CPA qualification.
- Big4 or Mid-Tier 1st or 2nd movers encouraged.
- Experience in management accounting, commercial finance or business partnering, including budgets, forecasts and month-end.
- Confidence explaining numbers to people who donโt work in finance.
- Strong Excel skills.
