About the role:
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join a well-established business based in Potts Point. This is an urgent requirement with an immediate start available for the successful candidate. Working within a close-knit finance team and reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance operations of the business. This position offers a genuine temp-to-permanent pathway for someone looking to secure a long-term opportunity within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing daily bank statements and banking transactions
- Managing cash sales tills and reconciliations
- Processing AMEX statements relating to registrations
- Reconciling registration accounts
- Processing CTP transactions
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations
- Reconciling finance income and associated transactions
- Assisting with month-end reporting and ad hoc finance duties
- Supporting the broader finance function as required
About You
- Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant, Accounts Officer or Finance Officer position
- Strong reconciliation experience across high-volume transactions
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Intermediate Excel skills
- The ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
- Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
- Availability to commence work immediately or at short notice
