Our sales floor is growing fast, with significant hiring planned through 2027, and we're looking for our first dedicated HR Manager to run it. This is a hands-on human resources role. You'll own recruitment for our junior stockbrokers from ad to offer, support hiring across the wider business, and run day-to-day HR, reporting directly to our COO.
What you'll do

- Support recruitment for other roles across the business
- Choose and run our applicant tracking system, and keep candidates moving quickly
- Lead performance management and disciplinary matters
- Support the promotion process
- Prepare offer letters, contracts and promotion documents from our templates
- Run reference and pre-employment checks, onboarding and leave management
- Help shape HR processes as the business grows
About you
- 5+ years in HR management in Australia
- Financial services experience, ideally stockbroking, wealth, banking or insurance
- A track record in high-volume recruitment for sales or customer-facing roles
- Strong working knowledge of Australian employment law, including the Fair Work Act, the National Employment Standards, modern awards, anti-discrimination and WHS
- Confident handling performance and disciplinary matters
- Assertive and comfortable enforcing policies and standards, even when it's not the popular call
- Hands-on with an ATS and e-signature tools
- Sharp judgement on people: you can spot drive and resilience, not just a polished resume
What's on offer
- $145,000β$155,000 base + super + performance bonus
- A blank canvas: as our first HR hire, you'll build the function your way
- Real authority: you make the final calls on junior hires
