Shangri-La Sydney is looking for a Casual Chef de Partie to join our Banquets Kitchen. As our new Chef de Partie, you will be experienced in various cooking techniques, have a flair for creativity, and understand various sections of the Kitchen including grill, larder, and pastry. You will have a passion to present and serve dishes of the highest quality, using seasonal local Australian produce.
You must possess excellent communication skills while being able to work in a busy, fast-paced environment and support the development of other Chefs including Commis and Demi Chefs, Cooks, and Apprentices. A passion and a heart for Hospitality is essential.
A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is mandatory for all positions, along with a Food safety certificate. You will be provided with strong guidance and the opportunity to grow your career in a friendly and harmonious work environment.
You will be paid on a CASUAL hourly wage basis under the Hospitality Industry General Award 2020:
- Monday - Friday: $40.16
- Saturday: $48.20
- Sunday: $56.23
- Public Holiday: $80.33
