About the role
As a Bartender at Shangri-La Sydney, you will play a key role in delivering a vibrant, engaging and memorable bar experience for our guests. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about beverages, takes pride in delivering exceptional service and thrives in a fast-paced, high-performing hospitality environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and serving cocktails, beverages and specialty drinks to the highest luxury hotel standards.
- Providing warm, professional and personalised service while anticipating and responding to guest needs.
- Demonstrating strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, beers and other beverage offerings.
- Contributing creative ideas for cocktails, seasonal offerings and memorable guest experiences.
What success looks like
- Cocktails and beverages are prepared consistently, accurately and to a high standard.
- The bar remains clean, organised and well presented throughout service.
- Beverage knowledge is confidently demonstrated when assisting guests with recommendations.
- The bar experience reflects the quality and service standards expected of a luxury hotel.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Previous bartending experience within a fast-paced, high-volume or premium hospitality environment.
- Strong cocktail and beverage knowledge with a genuine passion for mixology.
- A current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate.
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
