About the Role
This role is responsible for day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping tasks, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and general financial administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping and accounting entries
- Process payroll accurately and on time
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Assist with BAS, superannuation and other compliance requirements
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documents
- Assist with month-end reporting and general finance tasks
- Communicate with suppliers, customers and internal departments when required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Good understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliations
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software such as MYOB, Xero or similar
- Strong attention to detail and good time management skills
- Responsible, reliable and able to work independently
- Construction or manufacturing industry experience will be highly regarded
