We are looking for 1 permanent full time and 1 permanent part time Practice Nurse for our treatment room at Green Square Health in Waterloo.
About Us
Green Square Health is a busy general practice with a genuinely diverse patient demographic and a strong focus on using technology to deliver better care. Our team of GPs and specialists have special interests in sexual health, skin, and family medicine, and we run a nurse-led infusion service as part of our treatment offering. We also support antenatal shared care and see a high volume of childhood immunisations - so families are a big part of our day-to-day.
Our Values
- Thoughtful medicine
- Empathetic understanding
- Continuous growth
- Collaborative integrity
- Purposeful initiative
What ties us together is a genuine belief in continuous quality improvement and a shared drive to do better, together. We back each other up, stay open to feedback, and genuinely want to learn and get better - and we take pride in seeing things through, not just for ourselves, but for the whole team.
We move quickly, we care about doing things well, and we care about each other. Our nurses are genuinely valued by our GPs and are critical to how our clinic runs - this isn't a role on the sidelines, it's central to the care we provide. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and want to be part of a workplace culture that people actually enjoy coming into, we'd love to hear from you.
About You
- Able to do permanent full time or permanent part time - Monday to Friday
- Tech savvy β comfortable with clinical software and digital systems, and happy to keep learning as our tools evolve
- Adaptable β able to shift gears as the day (and the patient list) demands
- A great culture contributor β you bring energy, kindness, and reliability to the team
- Open to feedback and growth β you see feedback as a tool for getting better, and you're always looking for ways to improve
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment β our clinic is busy, and we need someone who enjoys that pace rather than being overwhelmed by it
- Willing to pitch in wherever needed β happy to support all aspects of the role, including administrative tasks, because we all share the load to keep things running smoothly
- An excellent communicator β with patients, GPs, specialists, and our admin team alike
- A true team player β you'll work closely with our admin staff to deliver a seamless, excellent patient experience
- Comfortable and confident with children β we run a high volume of childhood immunisations, so a genuine enjoyment of working with kids (and their parents) is important
Ideally, you'll also have:
- Nurse Immuniser status, or be actively working towards it
- Cannulation skills
- Confidence and competence responding to medical emergencies
Why Join Us?
- Be part of a supportive, high-functioning team of GPs and specialists
- Work across a broad and interesting scope of practice, including our nurse-led infusion service
- A clinic that invests in technology and efficient systems
- A genuinely positive, collaborative workplace culture
- We also have an on-site urgent care service - for those interested, there may be opportunities to pick up additional shifts there
- New grads are welcome to apply, training and support will be provided.
Please be advised that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. The job can start immediately for the right candidate.
