Residential Building Company Seeking a Contract Maintenance and Defects Handyman
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Maintenance and Defects Handyman to join our expanding team to service the Wagga Wagga and Tumut region.
This person will be responsible for managing all post-handover maintenance and warranty activities across the business. Reporting to the Construction Manager, this role ensures defects and maintenance works are resolved efficiently and to display-home quality standard.
We want someone who can demonstrate strong technical knowledge, exceptional communication skills, sound decision-making, and a proactive approach to quality assurance and customer satisfaction.
Must have ABN and own insurances as this is a contract position.
Key Responsibilities
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship with a commitment to quality and safety.
- Time management and reliability in meeting deadlines
- Strong knowledge of residential construction and defect rectification
- Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues
- Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills
- Maintain strict compliance with the National Construction Code and relevant legislation.
- Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
