This is not an entry-level sales role. We're looking for an experienced Appointment Setter who already knows how to perform in a high-volume phone-based sales environment and can demonstrate a consistent track record of results.
You'll work with marketing-generated leads who have already shown interest - not cold prospecting lists - and be responsible for turning that interest into high-quality appointments for the senior sales team. The opportunity comes with a stronger base and earning potential because we're looking for someone who can arrive with an established sales skill set, learn the business quickly, and perform at a high level.
What you'll be doing:
- Speak with warm, marketing-generated leads by phone
- Understand what prompted their enquiry, goals, and current situation
- Qualify opportunities and determine whether the next stage is appropriate
- Build trust quickly and confidently secure quality appointments
- Handle resistance and objections without becoming scripted or combative
- Follow an established sales framework while adapting to the individual conversation
- Maintain disciplined follow-up and accurate CRM records
- Consistently perform against clear activity, booking and quality targets
- Review your own performance, apply coaching and continue refining your execution
The experience we're looking for:
- 3+ years of appointment setting, outbound phone sales, or closely comparable high-volume sales experience
- Consistent performance against appointment or sales targets
- Significant experience working the phones in a high-volume environment
- Strong objection handling and conversational control
- The ability to build rapport without losing direction
- Active listening and strong follow-up questioning
- Discipline working within a proven sales process or framework
- Consistent CRM and pipeline management
- The ability to maintain performance across strong and difficult periods
- Coachability and evidence that feedback translates into improved execution
If your experience is primarily customer service, retail sales, or low-volume account management without significant phone-based sales responsibility, this is unlikely to be the right role.
What’s on offer:
- $100K base salary
- $150K-$200K OTE
- Uncapped commission
- Warm, marketing-generated lead flow
- Established sales process and operating structure
- Structured onboarding and ongoing sales coaching
- Clear performance expectations and measurable targets
- Full-time Monday-Friday role
- Sydney CBD office
- Opportunity to progress into more senior sales and leadership positions
The environment:
This role is designed for someone who already understands what high-performance sales actually involves. You won't need to be taught that follow-up matters, targets matter, CRM discipline matters, or that some days require persistence when conversations aren't going your way. You will still be coached.
The expectation isn't that an experienced salesperson has nothing left to learn - it's that you already have strong foundations and can use coaching to sharpen them further. There is a defined sales process, regular performance feedback, and clear accountability. The best performers know the framework well enough that they can focus their attention on the person they're speaking with rather than mechanically searching for the next line.
What separates experience from performance:
We're not looking for somebody who has simply spent several years in sales. We're looking for evidence that you can perform. During the recruitment process, expect to discuss things such as:
- The targets you've previously carried
- Your typical activity levels
- Appointment or conversion performance
- How your results compared with the wider team
- How you handle resistance
- How you manage follow-up
- How you've responded when your performance has dropped
- Specific coaching you've received and what you changed as a result
You don't need to have worked in our industry before. You do need relevant sales experience and evidence that you've performed in it.
