Are you someone who enjoys being busy, likes variety and is happiest when you're helping a team stay organised? This is an opportunity to join a large family foodservice business in a varied position combining personal assistant to the Commercial Manager and front of house responsibilities. You'll work closely with the Commercial Manager and broader sales team while also being the first person customers, suppliers and visitors meet when they arrive on-site. This is not a traditional reception position. It is a busy, hands-on support role for someone who enjoys multitasking, adapting to changing priorities and getting involved wherever needed.

The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with a focus on continuous improvement, positive attitude and employee engagement. The working hours are 7am-3pm Monday to Friday. Optional Saturday overtime is available for anyone interested in earning additional income, but it's not an expectation of the role. The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Your day will be varied and you'll play an important role in keeping the commercial team and wider office running smoothly.
  • Providing administrative support to the Commercial Manager and sales team.
  • Assisting with data entry, auditing, invoicing and general sales administration.
  • Managing diaries, correspondence, travel and meeting arrangements.
  • Greeting visitors and ensuring they receive a friendly and professional welcome.
  • Answering and directing incoming telephone calls.
  • Coordinating staff movements and maintaining internal calendars and directories.
  • Preparing meeting rooms and shared office areas.
  • Receiving mail, deliveries and correspondence.
  • Supporting other departments with administration when required.
  • Helping maintain a tidy and welcoming front office environment.

The Candidate:

We're looking for someone friendly, adaptable and highly organised who can comfortably manage several priorities at once.

  • Previous experience in sales support, commercial administration or a similar office support position.
  • Excellent organisation and multitasking skills.
  • A friendly and welcoming personality.
  • Strong communication and telephone skills.
  • The confidence to deal with customers, suppliers, visitors and senior managers.
  • The ability to work calmly and efficiently in a very fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • The ability to work independently while remaining part of a busy team.
  • A flexible attitude and willingness to support different areas of the business.
  • A practical approach and the ability to notice what needs to be done.
  • Experience within food service, food distribution, manufacturing or another busy commercial environment would be highly regarded.

The Offer:

This full-time permanent position offers $75,000 plus superannuation, with Monday to Friday hours from 7am-3pm and the option to work Saturday overtime. You'll receive discounts on food products and join a friendly, established reputable food business in a varied role supporting a busy commercial team where your contribution will be valued.
