- About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Estimator to join an established business within the electrical construction industry.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong estimating and tendering experience who can assess project requirements, coordinate subcontractor quotations and contribute to winning projects through accurate pricing, attention to detail and a proactive approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Review tender documentation, specifications and drawings to determine project scope and requirements.
- Prepare and coordinate tender submissions, quotations and project budgets.
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and vendors to obtain competitive pricing.
- Prepare tender packages and manage tender documentation, addenda and clarifications.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and value-engineering solutions.
- Follow up on submitted tenders and budgets to support successful project outcomes.
- Coordinate project handovers with project management teams.
- Maintain accurate estimating records and ensure submissions meet deadlines.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have
- Experience in estimating, ideally within electrical construction or a related building services environment.
- Strong knowledge of tendering, project costing and subcontractor management.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to manage competing deadlines and work collaboratively within a team.
