An Apprentice Fire Sprinkler Fitter role with an Australian owned, Sydney based fire protection company. You'll complete your Certificate III in Fire Protection while getting real experience on commercial, strata, council and aged care sites across Sydney, learning the trade from experienced, licensed fitters.
Key responsibilities
- Helping with the installation of fire sprinkler systems, hydrants and hose reels
- Supporting service and maintenance work on fixed fire systems
- Learning the installation and servicing of gaseous and kitchen hood suppression systems
- Reading drawings and preparing materials, pipe and fittings
- Keeping work areas safe, clean and tidy
- Attending trade school and keeping up with your training
About you
- A strong interest in starting a trade career in fire protection
- A good attitude, reliability and willingness to learn
- Mechanically minded, practical and good with your hands
- Good physical fitness and comfortable working at heights and in ceiling spaces
- Construction White Card (or willing to obtain)
- Police clearance (or willing to obtain)
- Full apprenticeship with paid trade school
- Uniform and PPE supplied
- Training and mentoring from experienced fitters
- Long term career pathway to a licensed Fire Sprinkler Fitter
