HSE Advisor - Build Your Career With a Growing Australian Business Homebush, Sydney | Full-Time Ready to take the next step in your HSE career?

PMFresh is a fast-growing and profitable Australian food manufacturing business with significant opportunity ahead of us, and we're looking for an ambitious HSE Advisor to join our team at Homebush.

This isn't a role where you'll spend your entire day behind a desk.

You'll be working directly with operational leaders and frontline teams, getting hands-on exposure to incident investigations, risk management, workers compensation, return to work, audits, Safe Work requirements and real operational safety challenges.

If you're early in your HSE career and looking for a business where you can learn quickly, take ownership and build towards your next career move, we'd love to hear from you.

  • What you'll be doing
  • Conduct incident investigations, 5 Whys and Root Cause Analysis
  • Complete risk assessments and help implement practical controls
  • Conduct workplace inspections, audits and safety observations
  • Support workers compensation and Return to Work cases
  • Develop suitable duties and Return to Work Plans
  • Deliver toolbox talks, inductions and safety communications
  • Support compliance with NSW WHS legislation and Safe Work NSW requirements
  • Monitor corrective actions and make sure they actually work
  • Help manage risks involving forklifts, mobile plant, machinery, LOTO, manual handling, chemicals and contractors
  • Support incident, hazard and HSE management
  • Work directly with managers and frontline employees to improve safety every day
  • Who we're looking for

We're particularly interested in someone who has 2-4 years of practical WHS experience and is ready to take the next step.

You'll ideally have

  • Certificate IV in WHS or higher
  • Experience completing risk assessments
  • Exposure to workers compensation, injury management and Return to Work
  • A good understanding of NSW WHS requirements
  • Confidence working with operational teams and speaking with people at all levels
  • Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, warehousing, logistics or manufacturing would be highly regarded.
  • RTW Coordinator, First Aid or formal incident investigation training would be an advantage, but we're also interested in people who are keen to develop these capabilities.

Why PMFresh?

Career progression.

We're looking for someone who wants to develop.

As PMFresh continues to grow, there will be opportunities to take on greater responsibility and progress within our HSE function.

Real experience.

You'll gain exposure to areas of HSE that can take years to experience in more narrowly defined roles - investigations, regulators, workers compensation, operational risk and safety systems.

A growing business. PMFresh is a profitable, fast-growing business with significant potential and an evolving national operation.

Access to leadership.

You'll work closely with site leaders and the National HSE team rather than sitting within a large corporate safety department where it can be difficult to make an impact.

Opportunity to make your mark.

We're continuing to strengthen and modernise our HSE systems, including the introduction of new technology and systems.

You'll have the opportunity to contribute ideas and help shape how safety is managed.

Your next HSE role should move your career forward.

If you're ambitious, practical and genuinely interested in workplace safety, this is an opportunity to join PMFresh at an exciting stage of our growth.
