A large and growing regional North West NSW / SE QLD firm is seeking Senior Accountants to bolster their Business Services and Tax team. This role is fully remote, with flexible hours and above market pay. We are experiencing strong growth and are open to discussions for part or full-time candidates. Key Responsibilities:
- The ideal candidate would be a Senior Accountant with significant exposure to primary production clients.
- Managing client relationships.
- Reviews and preparation of various primary production (Beef, Wheat, Cotton etc.) financials and tax returns.
- This covers clients of all sizes, including a significant number of clients in the Next 5,000 program.
- Significant amount of restructuring, capital gains, strategic tax planning, rollovers etc. within our firm currently.
- As much exposure as you like to specialist external advisors (tax solicitors, commercial solicitors, stamp duty barristers, CGT specialists).
- Liaising with the ATO.
- Maintenance and preparation of clients' financial records.
- Depending on the candidate, you would be working directly with partners and the firm's long-serving managers/senior accountants.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with primary production clients is compulsory; please do not apply unless you have had some exposure to livestock or cropping enterprises.
- Minimum 3+ years of specialised experience working with primary production clients is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Australian citizenship is required for this position.
- Experience with XERO.
- Fully remote with the option to fly to our regional office(s) throughout the year.
- Mandatory 2 annual team days where you will fly in for face-to-face sessions, lunches, dinners, client meetings etc.
- We embrace a fully remote model and make it work well.
- You will regularly be on Teams calls with clients and colleagues and will have the option of attending conferences in major cities with other team members.
