The role
Full-time Software Engineer, based in Melbourne.
You'll set the technical direction for our software across the device, the cloud and the app, and you'll be the person who knows how it all fits together.
A small team, with real ownership.
What you'll do
- Design and own the software architecture across our products, from the device to the cloud to the app
- Build the embedded software that controls our hardware
- Build the back-end services and APIs behind it
- Build the interfaces customers use, on the product and on their phone
- Own safety-critical control logic and the testing that proves it
- Take software from prototype to production: commissioning, validation and support in the field
- Document it so the next engineer can pick it up
- What you'll bring
- 3+ years of commercial software engineering, including embedded software on real hardware
- Low-level device interfaces and communication protocols
- Back-end services, APIs and data design for devices in the field
- User interfaces for touchscreens and mobile apps
- Secure software updates for devices in the field, and CI/CD
- Safety-critical control logic, tested on real hardware
- A degree in computer engineering, computer science or similar, or equivalent experience
