We're entering an exciting phase in the evolution of our data capabilities and are looking for a Head of Data to take ownership of our data strategy, technology direction and team development.
This is a senior leadership role with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the business.
We need someone who understands how to build a successful data function, can engage confidently with senior leadership and knows how to translate data investment into tangible commercial outcomes.
Your Remit
You'll be responsible for establishing a clear vision for data and ensuring the right people, platforms and processes are in place to deliver it.
Key priorities will include:
- Defining and executing our enterprise data strategy and roadmap.
- Leading and developing teams across data engineering, analytics and associated capabilities.
- Driving improvements to our data platforms, architecture and overall technical maturity.
- Establishing effective data governance, quality and management practices.
- Working directly with executives to identify opportunities where data can improve business performance.
- Overseeing delivery of strategic data initiatives and transformation programmes.
- Supporting the adoption of advanced analytics, automation and AI where commercially appropriate.
- Building a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
What Success Looks Like
We're looking for a leader who can demonstrate:
- A strong track record leading data teams and delivering enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Experience building or transforming data capabilities within complex organisations.
- A sound technical foundation across modern data engineering, architecture and analytics.
- The ability to establish strategy while remaining close enough to delivery to challenge and guide technical decisions.
- Strong commercial acumen and the confidence to engage at executive level.
- Experience managing competing priorities, budgets and stakeholder expectations.
- A pragmatic leadership style focused on outcomes rather than complexity.
