The Role

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of dental knowledge, strong communication skills and excellent organisational abilities, along with the confidence to manage both the administrative and patient-care coordination aspects of the role.

You will ideally have:

  • Dental Industry Knowledge: Previous experience within a dental practice, with a sound understanding of dental terminology, procedures and treatment coordination.
  • Confident Communication Skills: The ability to communicate professionally and confidently with patients, clinicians and team members, including discussing complex treatment plans and procedures.
  • Financial Confidence: Be comfortable discussing treatment fees, payment options and financial commitments with patients, while understanding the value of comprehensive, high-quality dental care.
  • Empathy & Patient Care: A warm, approachable manner with the ability to show empathy, build patient relationships and make patients feel comfortable and supported throughout their dental journey.
  • Health Fund Knowledge: A good understanding of private health funds, claiming processes, benefits and patient entitlements.
  • Exceptional Organisation: Strong time management and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise responsibilities and coordinate busy appointment books efficiently.
  • Technology & Systems: Confident with computers and technology, with experience using dental practice management software and managing patient databases.
  • Appointment & Treatment Coordination: Experience managing complex appointment schedules, coordinating treatment appointments and ensuring clinical and administrative requirements are well organised.

Above all, we are looking for someone who takes ownership of their role, has initiative, pays attention to detail and understands that the front desk is central to the success of the practice and the overall patient experience.
