We’re an established pool service in the Illawarra, hiring an experienced, full-time pool technician. We want someone who knows their way around pool equipment and takes pride in doing it properly.

The job

  • Pool cleaning, servicing and water chemistry. Regular cleans are a real part of the week.
  • Diagnosing and repairing pumps, filters and chlorinators.
  • Installs, pipework and filter media changes.
  • Troubleshooting equipment and water problems.
  • Dealing with customers and explaining things in plain English.
  • Keeping service records, the van and the gear in order.

How we work

Some jobs you’ll run solo. Installs are often done alongside another tech. The shop coordinates the daily run. You run the technical side of your jobs, with backup when you need it. We’re a hands-on team and everyone pitches in, whether that’s helping on an install or giving a hand with gear and deliveries back at the yard.

About you

Experience matters, and so does how you work. You think for yourself, diagnose properly instead of swapping parts, and own your work and your mistakes. You’re reliable, good with customers, and understand that even when you’re working independently, you’re part of a team. You communicate well, keep everyone in the loop and work together to get the job done properly. Proven pool service and repair experience is preferred. As the business grows, we want someone who’ll help guide less experienced techs and take on more responsibility for the service side.

What’s on offer

  • $80,000–$100,000 + super, based on experience.
  • Full-time, steady work.
  • Fully equipped work van, with take-home use available for the right person.
  • Supplier and product training on the gear we install.
  • A real mix of servicing, repairs and installs.
  • Room to step up.

Hours and requirements

  • Monday to Friday, starting at 8am.
  • Current manual driver’s licence.
  • October to March is our busiest time, so we ask that leave is planned outside those months where possible.
