We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cook to become part of our team atLuv A Coffee. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with fresh ingredients, preparing quality meals and contributing to a positive dining experience for customers.
The successful applicant will play an important role in the daily kitchen operations, ensuring dishes are prepared and presented to a high standard while maintaining food safety, cleanliness and hygiene. You will work alongside a supportive team in a busy environment where teamwork, efficiency and customer satisfaction are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a range of menu items in line with established recipes and standards.
Ensure meals meet expectations for taste, quality, freshness and presentation.
Follow all relevant food safety, hygiene and workplace health regulations.
Keep kitchen workspaces, equipment and utensils clean, safe and well organised.
Communicate and coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house employees.
Support menu development and contribute ideas for new dishes when required.
Manage kitchen tasks efficiently during busy service periods.
Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery, or an equivalent qualification.
At least one year of experience as a Cook in a busy restaurant or a similar food service setting.
A sound understanding of food preparation methods, cooking techniques and food presentation.
Strong practical cooking skills and knowledge of food safety requirements.
The ability to manage multiple tasks and remain organised under pressure.
Effective time management and clear communication skills.
A strong focus on consistency, quality and attention to detail.
Enthusiasm for preparing fresh, flavorful and appealing dishes.
The ability to work well with others and contribute to a team environment.
Availability to work weekends as required.
What We Offer
Full-time employment with an annual salary of$80,000 plus superannuation.
