About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced HR Crane Truck / Hook Bin Driver to join our growing team based in Albion, Victoria. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection, transport, loading, and delivery of scrap metal, bins, and recycling materials across metropolitan and regional areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating HR crane trucks and/or hook lift bin trucks safely and efficiently
- Loading, transporting, and unloading scrap metal, recycling materials, and equipment
- Performing pre-start, daily, and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensuring all loads are restrained and transported in accordance with road safety regulations
- Completing delivery paperwork and maintaining accurate records of collections and deliveries
- Assisting yard staff with loading and unloading when required
- Providing professional and friendly customer service on-site
- Maintaining cleanliness and basic upkeep of vehicles and equipment
- Following all company safety procedures and environmental guidelines
About You
- Valid HR Truck Licence
- Previous experience operating crane trucks, hook lift/bin trucks, or similar heavy vehicles
- Minimum 2 years experience operating crane trucks or hook lift/bin trucks is required
- Strong understanding of road transport regulations and load restraint requirements
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Australian permanent residency status is required
Highly Desirable
- HIAB / Vehicle Loading Crane Licence
- Experience within recycling, waste management, transport, or logistics industries
