Are you an experienced audio technician who takes pride in delivering exceptional sound for live events?
Scene Change Brisbane is looking for a Senior Audio Technician to join our production team, delivering corporate events, conferences, awards nights and live productions across Brisbane and beyond.
We're looking for someone who knows their craft, enjoys the challenges of live events and wants to work with a team that genuinely values technical expertise.
Why join Scene Change?
We're a family-owned AV production company with a National foot print run by people who understand what it's like to be on the tools.
We believe great events start with great people, backed by quality equipment, good preparation and a supportive working environment.
What we offer:
- Professional production equipment and ongoing investment in technology.
- A supportive, experienced crew and hands-on management.
- Interesting and varied events and productions.
- Opportunities for professional development and career progression.
- A genuine commitment to work-life balance.
- Company-provided laptop and relevant software, plus crew meals when operating or unable to take breaks during setups.
About the role
You'll take ownership of audio systems from preparation through to showtime, working independently and alongside our broader production team.
You'll be responsible for:
- Preparing, configuring and operating professional audio systems.
- Mixing live events using digital consoles.
- Managing wireless microphones, RF coordination and audio networking.
- Troubleshooting, system configuration and maintaining production standards.
- Leading audio setups and supporting junior technicians.
- Working closely with clients and production teams to deliver successful events.
What we're looking for
- Ideally 5+ years' experience in professional audio production.
- Strong digital mixing console and PA system experience.
- Solid understanding of signal flow, RF systems and audio networking.
- Confidence working independently and leading crew when required.
- A professional, positive attitude and strong client focussed service skills.
- A current driver's licence and flexibility around event schedules.
Experience with Dante, DSP configuration and system tuning will be highly regarded.
What about video and lighting?
Audio is our priority. Experience in video and lighting is an advantage and will be looked upon favourably, but is not essential.
We're looking for an excellent audio technician first and foremost.
