The holder compiles and approves tender documentation and the proposed tender list, issues documents, receives and compares tenders, and puts tender recommendations forward for approval.
Contract documents are then prepared for each trade package.

Safety duties under South Australian occupational health and safety legislation form part of the role.
The employer asks for a degree in quantity surveying or construction management, or relevant experience in place of one, and demonstrated experience in a similar post within building construction.
Autonomy, sound reasoning and the ability to work to shifting priorities are specified.
The advertised package includes three additional wellbeing leave days a year.
