Salt Search has partnered with a market-leading, highly matrixed Australian organisation seeking a senior digital marketing leader to fill a newly created role as the business enters its next phase of growth and transformation. This is a rare opportunity to join a business undergoing significant growth and transformation, where digital channels play a critical role in customer acquisition, engagement, and commercial performance. Reporting to GM-level leadership, you\'ll take ownership of digital experience, website performance, customer journeys and growth initiatives across a multi‑brand environment. We\'re looking for a commercially minded digital leader who can combine strategic thinking with hands‑on execution. You\'ll be equally comfortable operating in ambiguity, navigating change, owning outcomes autonomously and leading teams, while helping shape the future digital capability of the company.
What You\'ll Be Doing
- Digital Experience & Website Performance: Own the website roadmap and digital experience strategy, ensuring digital channels operate as the group\'s primary conversion engine. Drive website optimisation, UX improvements, conversion rate improvements and funnel performance.
- Performance Marketing & Growth: Lead national performance marketing strategy across paid, digital and lifecycle channels. Own media investment planning, budget allocation, testing frameworks and optimisation programs. Manage agency relationships and hold partners accountable to commercial outcomes and agreed KPIs.
- Data, Insights & Leadership: Translate digital performance data into actionable commercial insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders. Lead and develop digital marketing and experience teams across multiple brands. Drive continuous improvement across digital capabilities, operating models and customer acquisition performance.
About You
- 10+ years\' experience across digital experience, performance marketing/growth, eCommerce, customer acquisition or digital transformation functions.
- Preferred industry backgrounds would be fast‑paced and innovative, such as Software/Tech, Marketing Agencies, Property/Real Estate, marketplace or multi‑site, lead‑generation businesses.
- Proven experience owning websites or digital products as commercial conversion channels.
- Experience managing significant marketing budgets and commercial performance metrics including CAC, CPA, ROAS and conversion performance.
- Culturally: Comfortable operating within matrixed organisations and navigating multiple stakeholder groups.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing internal teams, agencies and external partners.
- Experience across multiple brands, business units, transformations or acquisitions will be highly regarded.
- Curious, adaptable and commercially minded, with the ability to operate effectively in complex, evolving environments.
- Strong cultural alignment to a hands‑on, high‑performance environment where accountability, initiative and ownership are valued.
