Specialist recruitment covering Data Analytics & Cyber Security

We’re seeking an experienced AML Analyst with strong subject matter expertise in anti-money laundering regulations and a deep understanding of the Tranche 2 reforms impacting the financial services sector.

Superannuation industry experience will be highly regarded.

In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in defining compliance strategies and developing a clear position paper for clients, outlining the current and future state of AML compliance requirements.

You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across Financial Crime, Compliance, and Identity Transformation, contributing directly to the uplift of AML and KYC frameworks — including the transition toward biometric-based identification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and document current AML practices and define minimum requirements for client compliance.
  • Collaborate with Financial Crimes and Data teams to develop consolidated OCDD/ECDD reports.
  • Engage with clients to communicate AML approaches and compliance outcomes.
  • Define and document a future-state KYC Customer Identification Program aligned with biometric solutions.
  • Translate AML regulations, AUSTRAC guidelines, and global policies into actionable business requirements.
  • Support the development of thematic and future pipeline work, including transaction monitoring and SMR initiatives.

About You

  • Proven expertise in AML regulations and compliance frameworks, ideally within financial services or superannuation.
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills with the ability to work independently and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with biometric KYC, financial crime lifecycle management, and Tranche 2 legislative changes.

This is an excellent opportunity for a compliance professional who wants to help shape how the financial services industry responds to evolving AML obligations.
