We are a growing boutique commercial law firm in the Sydney CBD. We advise on M&A, corporate law, structured finance, property, financial services regulation, and domestic and cross-border investment, with a particular focus on Asia-related matters. Our clients work across a range of industries, currently including renewable energy, property and FMCG.
The role
As our team grows, we are looking for a corporate and commercial lawyer with 2 to 3 years' post-qualification experience. You will report directly to the principal and work alongside and assist our senior lawyers on a broad range of matters, with direct client contact and responsibility that grows with your experience. The work includes:
- share and asset acquisitions and disposals, including due diligence and completion
- loan and security documents and structured finance
- commercial contracts, including distribution, franchise and supply agreements
- financial services regulation, including AFSL and AML/CTF compliance
- property transactions and leasing
- corporate governance and company law advice
About you
- Admitted in Australia, with 2 to 3 years' post-qualification experience in corporate and commercial practice
- A current NSW practising certificate (with or without the supervised legal practice condition)
- Sound drafting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage several matters at once
- Clear communication and a genuine interest in commercial outcomes for clients
- Comfortable working with modern legal technology, including AI-assisted workflows
- Full working rights in Australia
